DIY Stamp

Salam all,

As I was browsing youtube for more ideas, I found this interesting video by paperprintables.com. It teaches us to make your own stamp. I found stamps sold in craft shops are a little bit on the expensive side. So, here is an idea to make your own stamp at home, with glue, acrylic backing and foam paper. Attached is the link.
 Enjoy trying.

Tri-Shutter Cards

Salam all,

Last week, I tried my hands at tri-shutter card, although it seem complicated but actually easy to make. Attached are pictures of my own version of tri-shutter cards. I made them for two of my friend's farewell. Since the cards are for all the colleagues to sign and write their message, it did not have enough space. There are 40+ colleagues at work currently. Also, since it is foldable, it is very fragile. One of my friends fold it wrongly, so imagine if the 40+ didn't fold it properly, there is a chance of tearing the cards.

What I did was to flatten the card, let my friends sign them and later fold it. It would n't be a suitable card if you are sharing the cards with others (perhaps two or three is fine).

There are plenty of tutorials on youtube and attached is the one I took inspiration from. However, I didn't use the suggested paper size so, above is the result. Also, I left the white space for my friends to write on. Have fun trying.

Basic Embossing Video

Basic Embossing

I was looking through for ideas to make new cards and came upon this video in youtube. It shows embossing technique on tracing paper i think (it looks like tracing paper though). Apart from the tool used, you can use a blunt stick or pen. Something that is not sharp to do the embossing. I am going to try it out soon, why don't you? Follow the link attached below.

Happy trying. :)

Another 3D flowers greeting card

The greeting card featured today is a lovely combination of pink and white and the silver and gold sequins simply to liven up the look of the whole card. The inlay of the card which is in white is extended so that it'll balance out the front page of the card where white is distributed among the two flowers.

Email me if you are interested in purchasing this one.

Flower Bloom

Here is another edition to the 3D flower greeting cards series. The flowers are made of eight petals each (from papers) and the mid section (yellow part of the flowers is yet another eight set of papers glued together. To add contrast, I have glued a sequin for each flower. Beneath the flower composition, a pastel maroon ribbon run across horizontally and again the sequins adorn the ribbon to tie a connection between the top and below.

The size is 21x14.8cm and priced at RM 10. Feel free to email me if you are interested in this piece.

Unique Paper Flowers

These are learnt from a youtube tutorial. It's easy and pretty too. The tutor taught to paste buttons or beads in the middle but having none of those I added the sequins. It'll look great for wall decorations as well.

Farewell Handmade Greeting Card

Recently a dear friend decided to choose family over work and she resigned. Being a very close friend I thought of making her a very special card that I had never made before or even saw anywhere. I decided the background should be plain white to give a stark contrast to the item that I have pasted on the bottom right. My friends was asking how should she use it. I told it's pasted unfortunately. The item pasted is actually materials I got out of a custom jewelry shop.

Inside, where the message go, I pasted with a thin cream card.
